ACC Women’s T20 Championship: UAE And Malaysia Advanced To The Final: Following the semi-final matches of the ACC Women’s T20 Championship 2022, hosts Malaysia and the UAE advanced to the finals and qualified for the Women’s Asia Cup to be held in October.
The first semi-final between UAE and Nepal was cancelled due to rain, and UAE qualified for the final as they finished on top of Group A. In the second semi-final, Malaysia beat Hong Kong by 12 runs.
In the first semi-final against Nepal, the UAE team was all out after scoring just 81 runs in 19.5 overs. Asmina Karamcharya of Nepal took five wickets for ten runs and performed well. However, Nepal did not get a chance to bat and was ruled out of the tournament due to rain.

The second semi-final was 11 overs due to rain, and playing the first, Malaysia scored 86/4, in response to which even after scoring 38 runs in 3 overs, Hong Kong’s team could only score 74/6 in 11 overs and Dropped out of the tournament. Malaysia’s Mas Elisa was adjudged the player of the match for her unbeaten knock of 33 runs.
Malaysia will face the UAE in the tournament’s final on June 25. This will be the last international match at Kinara Oval in Kuala Lumpur.
