Chris Gayle Withdrawn His Name From Caribbean Premier League 2022 To Participate in 6ixty: Chris Gayle, popularly known as the ‘Universe Boss,’ has withdrawn from the Caribbean Premier League 2022 (CPL 2022) this year. The explosive batsman has turned his attention to ‘6ixty’. Sixty is a T10 tournament, which will be played in St Kitts from 24th to August 28 before the CPL season.
Chris Gayle is the ambassador of Sixty and will be available for this tournament after the ODI series against West Indies against New Zealand. The West Indies ODI series against New Zealand will end on August 21.

Some overseas players are expected to come soon to play in the tournament, but some players will not be able to come due to the final matches of The Hundred’s group stage.
Gayle said in his statement, ‘This year, I am going for the shorter format. I am looking forward to the current innovation in the Sixty and would like to see how it plays out. Especially my focus is on the mystery team and hitting two sixes in the first 12 balls to unlock the third powerplay over.
Chris Gayle represented St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in CPL 2022 last year, winning the title. However, Gayle could not play in CPL 2020 due to personal reasons.
