Alex Lees praised the bowling of his captain Ben Stokes. After the day’s play was over, he said “In my opinion, our bowling made a comeback in the match. This morning Ben Stokes’ bowling turned the game on our side.
This was the turning point of this Test match for me. Had Stokes not bowled so well, we would have been chasing 450–500 runs. In my opinion, the way the bowlers bowled this morning was the turning point of the match”.
Let us tell you that in the second innings of the Indian team, only Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant could bat nicely and the rest of the batsmen were a flop. This was the reason why the Indian team could not make a big score.
