IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans, which is participating for the first time in the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL, has made a great start in the tournament. Gujarat has won both the matches played so far. All the players of the team have contributed to the victory of Gujarat Titans, playing under the leadership of the Indian team’s strong all-rounder Hardik Pandya. In the first match against Lucknow Super Giants, Mohammed Shami showed his deadly bowling pattern. The same, young batsman Shubman Gill played a match-winning inning against Delhi. After which former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has praised Gill fiercely and has given a big statement about him.

In the match played against Delhi Capitals, 22-year-old batsman Shubman Gill of the Gujarat team played brilliant innings of 84 runs. Former India coach Ravi Shastri was very impressed by the quick batting of Gill. In the Star Sports program after the match, Shastri described him as one of the most talented batsmen in world cricket. They said,
“Once his bat starts moving, it becomes very easy for him to score runs. He has plenty of time and strength to clear the ground. He is made for this format of the game. It is his shot selection and strikes rotation that he himself talks about. He is the kind of batsman who never lets go of an opportunity to score runs on bad deliveries.
Critics got a befitting reply
In the first match of IPL 2022 against Lucknow Super Giants, Gill could not even open his account. After which he was also criticized a lot. But in the second match against Delhi, he made a brilliant comeback and gave a befitting reply to his critics. Shubman Gill made a significant contribution to the team’s victory, scoring 84 runs in just 46 balls. Gill also hit six fours and four sixes in this innings. Gill impressed a lot of people with his innings as his strike rate till last season has been criticized a lot.
