Bhajji has recently announced his retirement from international cricket at the age of 41 two days ago. Apart from Bhajji, Akhtar’s teammates, Shoaib Malik and Sohail Tanveer have also expressed their condolences.

On Sunday morning, Shoaib Akhtar himself had informed the people about the death of his mother by tweeting. Shoaib wrote, “My mother, my everything, has left this world by the will of Allah Ta’ala. Namaz-e-Janaza will be recited in H-8 after Asr prayers.
According to Pakistani media, Akhtar’s mother was taken to the hospital after her health deteriorated but she could not be saved. Shoaib Akhtar is remembered as the fastest bowler in international cricket. He has played 46 Tests, 163 One Day Internationals, and 15 T20 Internationals for Pakistan.
