Pakistan cricket team’s wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan made a lot of noise with his bat in the year 2021. This year has been like a dream year for him. He scored a lot of runs this year in all formats of cricket. But, his true colors got to be seen in T20 cricket. He made many match-winning partnerships for the team with captain Babar Azam in the year 2021. Due to this now the ICC has also appreciated the performance of Rizwan. And he has also been chosen as the T20 Cricketer of the Year.
Mohammad Rizwan got the title of ICC T20 Cricketer of the Year
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has been very impressed with the batting of Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan in the year 2021. The pair of captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan made a lot of noise with their batting in limited-overs cricket on grounds around the world last year.
Due to this both the batsmen were successful in making the place in the T20 and ODI Team of the Year selected by the ICC. Rizwan looked more aggressive and mature this whole year than Babar. Now the ICC has also announced the name of Mohammad Rizwan as the T20 Cricketer of the Year. Along with this, through a special tweet on his official Twitter account, he has also praised his brilliant batting. ICC wrote,

Played quick innings back from ICU
After coming out of the ICU, Rizwan played many memorable innings in the year 2021. In which, in the first match of T20 World cup 2021, an innings of 79 runs was played against Team India. On the basis of the unbeaten partnership for the first wicket between Rizwan and captain Babar Azam, Pakistan defeated the Indian team by a huge margin of 10 wickets. This is the first victory of Pakistan against Team India in the history of the World Cup. But even more special innings, he played against Australia in the semi-final match of the World Cup itself.
The right-handed wicket-keeper batsman had to spend some time in the hospital’s ICU due to flu before the semi-final against Australia. He then opened the innings for Pakistan in the semi-finals. And played a brilliant inning for the team. Rizwan played the highest innings of 67 runs for Pakistan in this match. However, Pakistan could not win that match and missed going to the final. This right-handed wicket-keeper batsman has scored a total of 281 runs in 6 matches of T20 World Cup 2021 at an impressive average of 70.25. Rizwan was the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament after captain Babar Azam.
