IND vs IRE: Rahul Tripathi Must Get A Chance In Ireland Tour, Ravi Shastri: The Indian team has reached the T20 series on the Ireland tour (IRE vs IND). Many young players have got a chance on this tour. However, it is difficult to predict which of these players will get a chance to debut.
Meanwhile, former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has advised the Indian team to make Rahul Tripathi’s debut. He said that the scoreboard keeps moving continuously with this batsman at the crease.
The batsman, who made his IPL debut in 2017, has been one of the most consistent uncapped batsmen in the IPL. He also had a stellar performance in the fifteenth season of the league. He scored 413 runs in 14 matches played for Sunrisers Hyderabad at an average of 37.54 and strike rate of 158.23.

Despite consistent performances, Tripathi did not get a chance in the T20I series against South Africa played at home. However, now the selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma has picked the Indian squad for the two T20Is to be played in Dublin on 26 and 28 June in Ireland. This batsman is adept at rotating the strike continuously and also has the ability to play big shots.

Ravi Shastri said Tripathi is not intimidated by the opposition or the bowlers he is facing. The former India coach said that Tripathi should be in the Indian team’s setup. Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, he said:
“When he is at the crease, the scoreboard continues. The ability to hit the shots, the all-rounder game that he has, is not affected by any opposition or any bowler. He has the ability to score runs fast, which makes him a great option for No”.
