IND vs SL 1st T20 22: The first T20 match between India and Sri Lanka was played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The Indian team defeated Sri Lanka by a huge margin of 62 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Electing to bat after losing the toss, the Indian team set a mountain target of 199 runs, in response the Sri Lankan team could reach only 137 runs. This is Team India’s tenth consecutive win in T20 cricket. After clearing the West Indies in both ODI and T20 series, now Rohit Sharma would like to capture this series by winning the second T20 match to be played in Dharamsala on 26 February. The same, the third and last match of the series will be played on February 27 in Dharamsala itself.
Sri Lanka won the toss, Team India got the invitation to bat
IND vs SL: Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanka won the toss in the first match of the 3-match T20I series and invited the Indian team to bat first keeping the dew conditions in mind. In today’s match, the Indian team saw many changes in the playing-11 of the previous match. Ravindra Jadeja, Sanju Samson, and Jasprit Bumrah returned to the team. The same, Deepak Hooda was given a chance to make his T20 International debut in this match.
Ishan Kishan took the Indian innings to 199 runs

Rohit played an innings of 42 runs. With this, he has now become the highest run-scorer in T20 Internationals. Rohit needed 37 runs to leave New Zealand’s Martin Guptill behind in this case. Shreyas Iyer, who came to play at number-3 after Rohit, took advantage of the opportunity he got, with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes in 28 balls, playing a half-century innings of 57 runs, the Indian team reached a big total.
Sri Lanka lost by a huge margin of 62 runs
Lankan team Chasing a 200-run target given by Indian team. Sri Lanka’s innings were shattered in the beginning in front of the strong bowling attack of the Indian team. The innings started with a wicket. Bhuvneshwar Kumar clean bowled Pathum Nishanka on the very first ball.
Charith Asalanka kept fighting like a one-man army at one end for Sri Lanka. The same, the batsmen kept coming and going at the other end. And in the end, Sri Lanka’s team could only reach the score of 137 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. And, lost the match by a huge margin of 62 runs. Aslanka scored a brilliant 53. In the end, Chamira also scored 24 runs in 14 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Venkatesh Iyer took 2-2 wickets for Team India.
