IND vs WI 2022: Now only 1 day is left for the limited-overs series to be played against the West Indies. The series will begin on 6 February with an ODI match. Rohit Sharma is making a comeback in this series after not being part of the South Africa tour due to injury. This will be his first ODI series as a regular captain. After which captain Rohit Sharma took part in a press conference before the match started. In which he answered many questions related to the first ODI.
Kuldeep and Chahal’s pair will be seen together again
The spin pair of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav has once again returned to Team India for the ODI series to be played between India and West Indies (IND vs WI). Ravi Ashwin looked quite ineffective on the South Africa tour. After which Kuldeep returned to the team after a long time. However, captain Rohit has given a big statement about whether this particular old pair will get a chance to play together in the IND vs WI first ODI. They said,
Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have already done well for us and have been very effective. Some bad times have put this pair together. But it’s definitely on my mind to bring them back together.
Kuldeep Yadav will have to play a lot of cricket now: Rohit Sharma
Team India’s chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav has been continuously going in and out of the team for the last few years. Kuldeep, who has been battling poor form, injured his knee during the practice session in IPL 2021. After which he had to undergo surgery, due to which he stayed away from cricket for a long time. But, after Ashwin could not make an impact on the South Africa tour, Kuldeep has been included back in Team India for the West Indies series (IND vs WI). Talking about Kuldeep, captain Rohit Sharma said,
We want to give Kuldeep Yadav some time to get set in the game. He has not been playing cricket for a long time. It is important to handle it carefully. He will have to play a lot of matches to get his momentum back.
