West Indies won the toss, decided to bowl first
In the second ODI between India and West Indies, the West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran won the toss and decided to bowl first keeping the dew conditions in mind. Pooran had come to captain today due to the non-availability of regular captain Pollard. This was his first ODI match as captain. Oden Smith was included in the playing-11 in place of Pollard. A change was also seen in Team India. KL Rahul returned in this match. Due to this Ishan Kishan had to leave the team. Rahul could not be a part of the first match due to being busy with his sister’s wedding.
Team India got off to a bad start
After losing the toss, opting to bat first, Rishabh Pant came along with captain Rohit Sharma to open the innings for Team India. Captain Rohit could not continue his previous match from here and returned to the pavilion after scoring only 5 runs. After that Pant and Kohli shared a 30-run partnership for the second wicket. But both the batsmen could not make their innings big. Both the batsmen scored 18 runs.
After losing 3 wickets for 43 runs, Team India seemed to be in deep trouble. But KL Rahul and Surya Kumar Yadav together handled the team. Together they put up a brilliant partnership of 91 runs for the fourth wicket. However, while taking the second run for 49 runs, Rahul got run out due to a misunderstanding.
Suryakumar Yadav reached a respectable score
After the dismissal of Rahul, Surya along with Sundar made an important partnership of 43 runs for the fifth wicket. Surya looked in fine touch today and was on his way to his maiden ODI century. But he could not keep the ball down due to a sweep shot and the fielder took an easy catch to end his innings. He scored 62 runs. Sundar also went on after scoring 24 runs. In the end, Deepak Hooda played an innings of 29 runs in 25 balls to take the Indian team’s score to a respectable score of 237 runs. Alzarri Joseph and Oden Smith took 2 wickets each for West Indies.

Famous Krishna, who came to bowl as the third bowler of Team India, completely pushed West Indies on the backfoot by spending 4 runs including 2 maidens in his 5 overs spell. West Indies lost their 5 wickets at the score of 67 runs.
The lower-order batsmen did try a little, but they too could only reduce the margin of defeat. And with the team winning this match by 44 runs, they also won the series. Akil Hussein was 34, while Oden Smith scored 24 runs in 20 balls. Krishna, famous for Team India, bowled brilliantly, putting 3 maidens in 9 overs and taking 4 wickets for only 12 runs.
