IPL 2022: In the 15th season of IPL, the current champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK), captained by MS Dhoni, will be under pressure to retain the trophy. However, before that, the team is stuck in a lot of trouble due to the injury of its key players. Two of Chennai’s most prominent players Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Chahar have already been injured before the tournament. No correct information has been revealed about the fitness of both the players so far. However, in the meantime, Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan has given a big response regarding the availability of these two players.
There is a big question on the fitness of major players
Deepak Chahar was included back in his team by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after spending a huge amount of 14 crores in the mega auction. Deepak was the most expensive bowler to be sold in the mega auction. Although Deepak’s hamstring problem came to the fore during the last T20 match against West Indies, after which he has been walking away from the cricket field. According to the report, this right-arm fast bowler will not be available for the matches of the first phase of IPL 2022.
On the other hand, another key player of the team, Ruturaj Gaikwad, was hit on the hand during the practice session before the first match of the T20 series against Sri Lanka, after which he was ruled out for the entire series. Gaikwad was retained by Chennai even before the auction. He is a very important player of the team. Ruturaj had contributed significantly to making Chennai champions last year and also captured the Orange Cap.

When asked about the availability of both these players, the CEO of the franchise, Kasi Viswanathan, replied, “We do not know much about their current fitness status and will not be able to tell you that they are in the team.” When will they join back? BCCI has told us that once they are match-fit, they will inform us. He is currently in NCA.
The current champions Chennai Super Kings are preparing by setting up a camp in Surat to retain the trophy. Where all the available players including captain Dhoni are practicing. The CSK franchise often shares videos of players’ practice sessions on their official social media accounts. In some videos, Captain Kul Dhoni has been seen hitting long sixes.
