The battle of the IPL 2022 Auction, which has been going on for the last 2 days, is over now. During this time, as usual, people are still surprised due to the non-selling of many big players. So the same, discussions are going on among the same people about many young players. Who has impressed everyone during this auction of IPL 2022.
Another name in this list is also the name of young fast bowler Rasikh Salam of Jammu and Kashmir. Rasikh was included by the two-time winner and last year’s runner-up team Kolkata Knight Riders for his base price of Rs 20 lakh.
Have won IPL trophy with Mumbai Indians
Rasikh Salam, sounds like a name that is heard and recited. Yes, this is the same Rasikh Salaam, who was part of the playing-11 of the Mumbai Indians team that landed on the field in the first match of IPL 2019. However, he could not impress much in that match. He had spent 42 runs in his 4 over spell in that match and could not succeed in getting a single wicket. In the same IPL 2022, now he has got the support of Kolkata’s team.
That year Rasikh was also included by Mumbai by paying his base price of Rs 20 lakh. But in June the same year, Rasikh was banned by the BCCI for two years due to an age-related dispute. According to the BCCI, Rasikh had presented the wrong documents regarding his age. He remained in Mumbai during the ban and Mumbai Indians took great care of him.
Will show his talent for Kolkata Knight Riders – IPL 2022
Team India’s star all-rounder Irfan Pathan had an eye on Rasikh salam even before Mumbai Indians. In the year 2018, Irfan was impressed by his superb fast bowling and included him in the senior team of Jammu and Kashmir. Pathan was playing the role of both coach and captain of Jammu and Kashmir at that time.
Now Rasikh will be seen spreading his fire for the Kolkata Knight Riders owned by Shahrukh Khan in IPL 2022. The presence of legendary bowlers like Pat Cummins in Kolkata’s team will greatly benefit him. In June last year, the ban imposed on him by the BCCI ended. After which he returned to his state’s Under-25 team.
