PBKS vs RCB: After losing the toss to bat first, Royal Challengers Bangalore set a huge target of 205 runs for the loss of only 2 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Captain Faf du Plessis scored 88 runs in just 57 balls with the help of 3 fours and 8 high-rise sixes. He along with former captain Virat Kohli played a century partnership of 108 runs for the second wicket. Earlier, he played an opening partnership of 50 runs with Anuj Rawat.
Kohli scored 41 not out. The same, Anuj Rawat scored 21 runs. Faf started his innings very slowly. But after Virat came to the crease, he picked up the pace by changing his gear. In the end, experienced batsman Dinesh Karthik hit an unbeaten 32 with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes in just 14 balls to take RCB’s score beyond 200.
Punjab Kings started with a win
PBKS vs RCB: Both the openers of Punjab Kings, captain Mayank Agarwal and veteran batsman Shikhar Dhawan, popularly known as Gabbar, came out chasing the target from the mountain, together gave a befitting reply. Together, both the batsmen added 71 runs for the first wicket. Mayank scored 32 runs, Dhawan scored 43 runs. Sri Lankan batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 43 runs in just 22 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. And in the end, Oden Smith, taking revenge for the hit in the bowling, scored an unbeaten 25 runs in just 8 balls with the help of 1 four and 4 sixes, giving Punjab a spectacular victory by 5 wickets with 6 balls to spare. Shahrukh Khan also scored a brilliant 24 runs.
