But, the game took a dramatic turn after that, and Chahal (Yuzvendra Chahal) took four wickets including a hat-trick in the 17th over to completely tilt the match towards Rajasthan. In this (RR vs KKR) the wicket of Kolkata captain Shreyas Iyer was also included. Apart from Iyer, Chahal (Yuzvendra Chahal) showed the way to the pavilion to Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins to complete his hat-trick. With this, Chahal has become the first bowler to take a hat-trick this season. Chahal becomes 21st bowler to take hat-trick wicket in IPL
Chahal (Yuzvendra Chahal) is the 21st bowler to take a hat-trick in IPL (RR vs KKR) and the fifth bowler for Rajasthan Royals. Before him, Ajit Chandila, Praveen Tambe, Shane Watson and Shreyas Gopal have taken hat-tricks for the Rajasthan team in IPL. Apart from Chahal in Indian bowlers, Lakshmipathy Balaji, Amit Mishra, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Azil Chandela, Praveen Tambe, Axar Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, Shreyas Gopal, and Harshal Patel have managed to do this feat. Out of these, Mishra has the highest number of three hat-tricks.
