Gaikwad, who captured the Orange Cap in IPL 2020 and played an important role in making the team champion, was seen completely colorless in this 15th season of IPL so far, but against Hyderabad (Sunrisers Hyderabad). He played a brilliant inning while returning to form at the right time. During these innings, Ruturaj also completed his 1000 runs in his IPL career. He had to take 31 innings to reach this figure. With this, he also equaled the record of great batsman Sachin Tendulkar. The master-blaster also completed his thousand IPL runs in 31 matches.
