He has done this feat twice against West Indies, England, and South Africa and once against Australia. The only great all-rounder Kapil Dev is now ahead of Bumrah in the list of Indian bowlers who have taken 5 wickets in an innings in the Indian team. The Indian pacer has also completed his 300 wickets in Test cricket with this. This is the eighth time he has taken five or more wickets in 29 Test matches.
Jasprit Bumrah best bowling performance against Sri Lanka
This record-breaking performance of Jasprit Bumrah is the best bowling performance by any Indian bowlers against Sri Lanka. Earlier this record was in the name of Ishant Sharma. In the year 2015, he took five wickets for 54 runs at the Colombo ground. The sight of Bumrah’s brilliant bowling was such that the entire Sri Lankan team was bundled out on the score of 109 runs in the first innings. This is Sri Lanka’s second-lowest score against India. Earlier, in the year 1990, the Sri Lankan team was able to score only 89 runs in Chandigarh.
