Pakistan Junior League: Miandad Confirmed Himself As The Pakistan Junior League mentors: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started a cricket tournament for junior cricketers named Pakistan Junior League, whose first season will be played in October this year. For this tournament, the board has selected veteran cricketers for the mentorship of young players. Apart from former Pakistan batsman Javed Miandad, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, and Darren Sammy have been made mentors for this tournament.
Miandad will act as the overall mentor, mentor the six teams, and give advice to the players. Afridi, Sammy and Shoaib will be part of the team’s dugout. Apart from the mentors, four big names will be used as the tournament ambassadors, and their job will be to promote the tournament. The mentors’ names of three other teams will also be announced soon.

The Pakistan Junior League will be played on a single league basis, and the top four teams will qualify for the play-offs. A qualifier will be played between the top two teams, with the winning team going straight to the final. The Eliminator will be played between the 3rd and 4th ranked teams, and the winning team will play the losing team in the first qualifier. The team that wins this match will go to the final.

PCB chairman Rameez Raja says that he has been able to rope in stalwarts like Miandad, Malik, Sammy and Afridi in the league and is very happy about it. They said,
Our motive behind organizing this tournament is to enable the young players to learn the champion and winning attitude, and by involving these veterans, we have already achieved one of our goals for the tournament.
