Quadrangular T20I Series: Malaysia And Maldives Wins The T20 Series: Hosts Malaysia and Maldives registered victories on the second day of the Malaysia Quadrangular T20I Series. Maldives beat Thailand by 7 wickets and Malaysia beat Bhutan by 39 runs. In the first match played yesterday, Malaysia beat Bhutan badly by 155 runs.
Playing first after winning the toss in today’s match, Thailand team were all out after scoring just 81 runs in 19.3 overs, in which Naravit Nuntrach scored the highest 24 runs. In reply, Maldives won in 15.4 overs for the loss of three wickets, with Mohammad Rishwan top-scoring with 38 runs. Liam Shafig of Maldives was adjudged man of the match for taking three wickets for just 9 runs.
Quadrangular T20I Series: Malaysia And Maldives Wins The Series
In the second match, after winning the toss, Malaysia’s team could only score 112/9 in 20 overs, in which Sonam Yeshi and Ngwang Thinley took three wickets each for Bhutan. However, in reply, Bhutan were bundled out for just 73 runs in 19.4 overs. Malaysia’s Sayzrul Idris and Veerandeep Singh took three wickets each. He was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance on Fitri Sham (40* & 2/21).
Malaysia will face Thailand and Maldives will face Bhutan on the third day of the tournament on July 4. The final match will be played on July 11 between the top two teams of the points table.
