SL vs AUS: Everyone Was Shattered After Hearing Warne’s Death- Arjuna Ranatunga: Everyone was shocked by the death of Australia’s legendary bowler Shane Warne. Warne passed away under suspicious circumstances in March this year, and people still cannot forget him. Tributes were paid to Warne ahead of the first Test between Australia and Sri Lanka starting today. Former Sri Lankan captain and veteran cricketer Arjuna Ranatunga also remembered Warne. Everyone knows he has been a great player, but especially after the tsunami, he became very close to the Sri Lankan people. That is why we were all devastated when we heard about his death. Warne was a tough competitor and a brilliant player.
The 2004 tsunami killed about two lakh people, of which about 31,000 were in Sri Lanka. The Galle International Stadium was also badly damaged due to this tsunami. Warne then toured Sri Lanka and raised around one million dollars so that the stadium could be rebuilt.
Warne was found dead in Thailand
Shane Warne was found dead in Thailand. He was holidaying there with some of his friends, and when the door of his room did not open for a long time, the people with him went there to inquire about his condition. When the door was opened somehow, when there was no answer, Warne was lying unconscious on his bed. The accompanying people gave him CPR, and then an ambulance was called.
When Warne was taken to the hospital, he has declared brought dead. Thailand’s police had also investigated the matter, but the circumstances under which he died could not be disclosed.
