Stan Nagaiah Trophy 2022: Malaysia Beats Singapore By 23 Runs: In the second match of the Stan Nagaiah Trophy 2022, Malaysia beat Singapore by 23 runs to level the three-match series at 1-1. Playing first, Malaysia scored 177/5 in 20 overs, in response to which Singapore’s team could only score 154/6. Muhammad Syahdat of Malaysia was adjudged man of the match for his quick knock of 40 runs in 24 balls.
After winning the toss, Malaysia did not start well, and both the openers were in the pavilion till the score of 29. Syed Aziz put on 78 runs for the third wicket with captain Ahmed Faiz (32 balls 35) and took the team past 100. Syed Aziz scored 56 runs in 39 balls. After his dismissal, Muhammad Syahdat took the team beyond 175 with his swashbuckling innings.

Stan Nagaiah Trophy 2022: Singapore got off to a poor start in response to the target, and their three wickets had fallen by the time they scored 46. From here, Janak Prakash played a quick inning of 56 runs in 31 balls and, along with Manpreet Singh (26) and Naveen Param (25 *), took the team to 150, but this time the hosts were away from the target. Malaysia’s Anwar Rahman and Khizar Hayat took two wickets each.
The third and deciding match of the T20 series will be played on June 30. After this series, Singapore will face Papua New Guinea in a four-match T20 series from July 2, while Malaysia will participate in the four-nation T20 series on July 2.
