IPL 2022: The date of the start of IPL has been revealed. The tournament is going to start on March 26, the final match will be played on May 29. However, no decision has been taken yet regarding the schedule of the matches. But, now the big news is coming out about this. According to the report, the first match of the tournament will be played between last year’s two final teams i.e., Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Earlier these two teams also faced facing in the final match of last season. In which Chennai defeated Kolkata by 27 runs and became the champion of this mega league for the fourth time. In this way, Kolkata would like to avenge that defeat.
With the addition of 2 new teams from this season, the thrill of this mega league is going to increase even more. Due to this, the format of the match has also been changed. All 10 teams are divided into 2 different groups. Due to the increase in the number of teams, the number of matches has also increased this year. A total of 70 league matches will be played from this year.
All league matches will be played in Mumbai and Pune
In view of the dreadful situation of Corona, it has been decided to organize all 70 matches of the league phase of IPL 15th season (IPL 2022) in 2 cities of Maharashtra, Mumbai, and Pune. In which 3 stadiums of Mumbai and 1 stadium of Pune have been selected. Of these, 55 matches will be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede, Brabourne, DY Patil Stadium, while the remaining 15 matches will be organized by Pune. Venue yet to be decided for a playoff match
