IND vs SA 2021-22: Team India captain Virat Kohli did not take part in the second Test in Johannesburg due to injury. However, now he is fully fit and is all set to make a comeback. Before the third and decisive final Test match starting in Cape Town on January 11, Virat Kohli told about his preparations for the third Test match through a press conference on Monday. Along with this, he has also given a big statement regarding the batting of Rishabh Pant, the wicket-keeper batsman who is continuously flopping in this series.
Rishabh Pant knows how to overcome this
So far 2 test matches have been played between India and South Africa. In both these Test matches, the bat of Team India’s young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been completely silent. In the second innings of the second Test match played in Johannesburg, Pant also lost his wicket by playing an irresponsible shot.
Due to which Team India, which had reached a good position at one time, had come under pressure. After which Pant has come under the target of the people. And the demand to drop him from the third test match has started rising. In such a situation, before the third Test match, captain Virat Kohli has defended him. Virat said,
Mahendra Singh Dhoni told me at the beginning of my career that there should be a gap of 7-8 months between any mistake of yours, only then your career becomes big. Pant himself also understands that this mistake should not happen again and again and we hope that Rishabh will definitely work on his mistakes.
Team India is very close to creating history
South Africa is one of the few places where Team India has not won any Test series so far. The 3-match Test series is currently tied at 1-1. In such a situation, the last deciding match of the series to be held in Cape Town is expected to be very exciting. This test match will be the 99th test match of captain Virat Kohli’s career. Had Virat Kohli not missed the second Test, then this last match of the series would have been the 100th Test match of Virat’s career. Now Virat will play his 100th test match in the home series.
